Standard Quality & Inspection Guidelines
|
Level 1 – Prototype
- Support removal & shot peen
- Visual inspection of part features and record of any build non conformity
- Dimensional record of general tolerances, extent dimensions
- Drawing or prints used for feature reference only
- Drawing NOT required
- No secondary machining
- No EDM operations
|
|
Level 2 – Engineering
- Perform Level 1 inspection, as described above
- Dimensional record of features specifically identified by customer only
- Any deviation will be sent to customer for review and buyoff
- Certificate of Conformance is limited to features specifically identified by customer
- Material Certifications provided as required specifically by customer
- Standard Sampling Plan utilized
|
|
Level 3 – Production ISO
- Perform Level 2 inspection, as described above
- Customer drawing(s) required
- All dimensions with tolerances +/-.005” or better Inspected and recorded on DMI QA002
- Inspect all GD&T unless specified otherwise
- Any deviation will be sent to customer for review and buyoff
- Certificate of Conformance as required
- Material Certifications provided as required by customer
- Standard sampling plan utilized
|
|
Level 4 – Production AS
- Perform Level 3 inspection, as described above
- Customer drawing(s) required
- Pre production Manufacturing Plan approval as required
- All dimensions with tolerances +/-.005” or better inspected and recorded on AS9102FAI
- Inspect all GD&T unless specified otherwise
- Any deviation will be sent to customer for review and buyoff
- Secondary machining operations to meet specific drawing tolerances
- This may include EDM or 4th Axis operations
- Specific finish detail requirements
- Typical sampling plan used for inspection
- Material certifications as required
- Certificate of Conformance as required
- Material Certifications provided as required
- Standard sampling plan utilized
